Bossa Nova announces international investment committee in partnership with Drummond Ventures

The recently launched project aims to consider at least 10 startups with an estimated US$150 thousand of support for each

According to its mission of being the most active micro venture capital in Latin America, Bossa Nova Investments, a manager that invests in pre-seed startups with nationwide operations, has announced the launch of an international investment committee in partnership with Drummond Ventures, the investment arm of the Drummond Group that acts as an American venture builder for businesses in Brazil and the USA. Together, the companies aim to invest between US $ 100 and US $ 150 thousand in each startup that wants to begin its internationalization process.

The committee will be led by João Kepler, Director of Bossa Nova Investments, and by Bruno Drummond, CEO of Drummond Ventures, who will be alongside the co-investors.  All in all, between 10 and 13 startups will be chosen for the project, which has a mission to help them in the internationalization process, creating more traction so they can expand their business to other countries and consolidate themselves abroad.

Drummond celebrated the partnership and predicted excellent results. “We are extremely happy and proud to be alongside Bossa Nova Investments, who is responsible for stimulating and heating up the universe of startups in LAtin America, and it is an initiative that certainly will bring more opportunities and innovation to the market.  Our expectations could not be better,” he says.

According to Kepler, this new project will meet the ambitions of Bossa Nova, which is each time strengthening the Brazilian ecosystem in and out of the country.  “We strongly believe in the potential of the solutions created here and we know that with resources they can go a long way.  We will receive applications from so many startups that were previously supported by us, like others who are in this market looking to expand.  And to have Drummond as a partner, which will help in all bureaucratic aspects that are needed when internationalizing, will make a huge difference to the project”, says the Director of Bossa Nova Investments.
