Mayor of San Francisco traveling on business mission

The mayor of San Francisco, Mr. Edwin M. Lee, arrives in Brazil next week to lead business mission to the country. The mayor will be visiting both São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, the week of March 14th, 2016.

The mayor’s visit of the two largest Brazilian cities is accompanied by a delegation of government officials and entrepreneurs in order to strengthen the link between the world capital of innovation and the South American country.

Matthew Svetich, entrepreneur and partner of Drummond Advisors, a consulting company that specializes in the internationalization of companies between the United States and Brazil, will be one of the delegation’s members.

“For the United States and Brazil, the visit of Mr. Lee signals the opening of great opportunities, creating fertile ground for competitive enterprises globally who plan to be in San Francisco in the coming years. It is a meeting to foster partnerships and possibilities”, said Mr. Svetich.

San Francisco takes the first step to strengthen relations with the major economies of Latin America. The mission is organized by “LatinSF”, an initiative aimed at creating a conducive business environment among companies in the region and the California bay area which includes both San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
